Mixing like a villan

Shirt/Jeans-F21 Cardigan/Shoes-Thrifted

So, this is my first adventure into mixing patterns! Looking at these pictures makes me thing that this outfit may not have worked as well as I thought it would though.... Oh well! I'll have many other chances to try.

In other news, I'm going to Jacksonville this weekend to go to a Highland Games, and I'll probably be back late Sarurday.

That's about it for now though......
Hope ya'll had a great week!

WHAT? SPEAK UP, I CAN'T HEAR YOU!

Sweater/Shoes-Thrifted Jeans- Thrifted Volcom

So, my mom told me that the brand that this is (Cricket Lane) is a pretty big old lady's brand.
Oops, haha.
But hey, I like what I like.

I am just on a roll, aren' t I?

Necklace/Cardigan/Belt-Thrifted Shirt-F21 Shoes/Tights-?

If you haven't noticed by now, whenever styling new items that I've bought, I try to keep things simple. Like with this cardigan and belt thing. I didn't want to go too over the top, so I just did some basic matching. Well, actually, I usually don't go too over the top with my outfits anyways....

Anyways, how cool is the belt?!

And yay for me, I've done 4 consecutive posts!

Sunday's best

Cardigan/dress/belt- Thrifted Shoes- ?

I think this is my first basically all thrifted outfit. I'm pretty proud :D What I did with the dress actually though, is that I wore it backwards, because I liked that little opening being in the front.

Today I went to church, amd then directly after church I went to a local thrift shop, and I stayed there for about..... 2 and 1/2 hours! It seemed like I was there for much longer than 2 and 1/2 half hours though. I would have to say that it was the most intense thrifting i've ever done too. I looked in basically every section.
Men's shirts,
Ladies shirts,
Men's sweaters,
Ladie's sweaters
Men's coats,
Little boys shirts,
Little boys jeans,
Men's trousers,
Ladies skirts,
Ladie's shorts,
Men's blazers
Women's blazers,
Men's and Women's shoes section,
Men's and Women's belts,
Scarves,
Purses,
I even wandered on back to where the sell the little knick knacks.

I usually just stay to the sweater's, dresses, shoes, blazers, skirts, and belts and scarves. And I usually don't stay in those sections for long, looking for the hidden gems. But, I did come away with some good stuff. I found a pretty sweet striped shirt, almost the kind II had been looking for. Thin blue stripes, with a white backround, boxy shape, wide neck opening, but the shoulders were a little weird, and I ended up putting it back.

I'm trying to only buy thing I reallllly like nowadays, because I've found that I'm spending money on stuff that I think looks pretty, but I'll never wear. Or I'm buying things that are almost what I want, but not quite there, but I buy them anyways, and then I don't feel completely confident when I wear it. So, that's why I made up my policy. Let's see how well that holds up though, haha.

Land ahoy!

 Cardigan-F21 Shirt-Thrifted Jeans-Hollister Boots-Charolette Russe

This is the first actual shirt that I've thrifted. It's very sailor-esque, but what sold me on it was the embroidery. I loveeeee embroidered things. It gives texture to things. Like, when there's a pattern on a shirt, and it's screen printed, it just makes me think "that would look so much better embroidered!"

It's how the cool kids dress

Coat/Boots-Thrifted Cardigan/Shirt-F21 Belt-Gift

Whenever I plan to wear this coat, the minute before I walk out the door, I take it off, because I feel like it looks too big on me. I finally had the guts to keep it on today, and I must say, I felt pretty darn cool walking around school in this outfit.

Ya know, back in the 80's....

Blazer/shoes/jeans-Thrifted Shirt/undershirt-F21

I just went thrifting for a "Goodwill Ball" I went to on Monday, and I went to a new thrifting place, the "Sheriff's Youth Ranch". Now, I had heard from one of my friend's that this was a good place for shoes, and she was completelyyyyyy correct. They had a whole lotta shoes, and I liked most of them. Curse my big feet for not letting me fit into most of them!

Anyways, the toe is a tad bit more squared than I what I like, but it will do for now.
This blazer that I wore has been dormant in my closet for a while, so, I decided to take it out and wear it today. I like how it has a double-laple deal. It makes it interesting.

Anyways, here's what I wore to the Goodwill ball. I'm actually seriously considering wearing this jacket out places, and I'm also seriously considering buying more. Ya know, maybe start up a collection. It's just, whenever I see these types of jackets in thrift stores, they usually look sooo cool. I definitely know my friend's would make fun of me for wearing a jacket like this, but hey, if I feel good in it, then I'll be fine.

Hell Week

Mr. Durst Day
Techie Day
Comedia Del Arte day

Dress Like your Inductor Day

Mime Day ( I had to dress up like a member of the Blue Man Group)
Character Day ( I was Seyomour From "Little Shop of Horrors". And, oh yeah, see that plant? Yeah, I made that buisness. Her name's Audrey 2.)

So, there ya have it folks. Finally Hell Week summed up in pictures. I had a lot of fun, and in the end, everyone got inducted, so happy times for all. And now I get to do all that to someone next year. Muhahahahahah!
