Shirt-F21 Undershirt-F21 Skirt-Thrifted Belt-Thrifted Tights-Apt.9 Shoes-Borrowed from mom
THIS SKIRT IS AWESOMEEE!
It's beautiful and flows perfectly, and obviously is fun to twirl in. :)
I had a supershoppingadventure (yes, that's one word) yesterday. Started at the mall then went to a local thrift store and ended at The Family Store (which for some reason I call the Salvation Army every now and then)THIS SKIRT IS AWESOMEEE!
It's beautiful and flows perfectly, and obviously is fun to twirl in. :)
So, I went to the mall the day after Christmas. I know, I know, what was I thinking!?
It was crazyyyy. Way too many people there to be able to focus on shopping. Plus, the mall is so expensive compared to thrift stores. I bought a top with as much money that I could buy 7 things with at a thrift store. Maybe more. The only thing I bought the day after Christmas was that Hamsa hand necklace I'm wearing (I love it soooooooo much, worn it practically every day since it's purchase), tights, and socks.
Okay, so, summary of my supershoppingadventure:
The Mall:
I got some tie-dye black jeans (FINALLY!), a flowy shirt, the striped shirt I'm wearing in this post, a black undershirt, a beautiful scarf, and a black cardigan.
I looked sooo hard for some boots. Some knee high (or ankle), flat boots. I know that everyone has boots now, but I just love the way they look with certain outfits. I started looking in a department store, and the cheapest they had the kind I wante dwas $80. Soeey, but I wouldn't have been very thrilled to drop that much mone on boots. So, I found a pair of knee highs, $30. A really good price, if I do say so myself. They didn't have them in my size. D: So, I saw a pair of ankle boots, $25 dollars. It even had a nifty buckle on them. Once again, they had none in my size. D:< style="font-size:130%;">
Main Street Thrift Shop:
I got a high waist black skirt, a sweater, hanes white t-shirt and a pink high waste skirt (the pleats and color are perfectionn :D)
I didn't get a vest this time thrifting! I usually do. Well, actually, I was going to get a black vest that looked a little like a tuxedo vest, but these hipster teenagers came in, and one of the girls had snatched it up when I went back to pick it up. Oh well, there will be more black vests.
Family Store:
I got 2 black high waist skirts (one of them being the one I wore in this post), 2 sweaters, and this white embroidered shirt I turned into a vest by cutting off the shoulders.
I can never seem to find shirts I like at thrift stores. I don't know why..... My perfect thrift store shirt is that interesting printed collared shirt or sleeveless shirt, or that lacy shirt, or the vintage striped shirt. Haven't come across it yet though. Well, I did come across that cool embroidered shirt, But I turned it into a vest? Does that count as a shirt still? Well, I think it does. Then I've made success!
So, there have been no posts lately because I lost the charger to my camera. Well, I still haven't foud it, but a lightbulb went off in my head and it made me realize, "I can just use my sister's camera!" Duhhh Danielle.
Anyways, My Christmas wasgood. I got makeup and money from my momma and ,oney from my relatives. So, I was happy.
Also, mostly everytime I go thrifting, I come across a pair of these shoesMy mom told me that they're huarache shoes and they were big in the 80's and I want a pair soooooo bad. I found a pair yesterday, but they were too small. :( Curse my big feet! I havve such a hard time finding shoes when I thrift.
Well, I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays and I hope everyone has a happy new years!
