I have technical issues.

So, I moved the sewing machine up to my room and did some sewing. I hemmed my dress I got from the Salvation Army. I don't know if I like it. I could just wear it around the house. I might end up hemming it shorter.

That's my room in the background. Lovely isn't it?

Anyways, I got the skirt because I thought the print was fun, but now I'm having second thoughts. Is the print too annoying? You go ahead and be as critical as you want to, I don't care, really. I'm on the borderline of liking it and hating it.
I also recorded a video of me singing You Belong to Me by Jason Wade, and I tried to upload it on photobucket, didn't work.
I tried to upload it to tinypic, didn't work.
Presently, I'm trying to upload it to YouTube, and it's taking forever!
I don't know if I'll be able to make it work. It's getting super frustrating.

i'd definitely make it shorter and put in a few pleats or something of the sort to give it more shape, i do like the print though :-)

oh right! sorry i forgot to comment on that. it took me a while to figure out but i finally discovered that it depends what type of file it is. since i recorded the video using photobooth, i had to drag the video from photobooth onto my desktop and then use the video uploading tool on blogger to upload from the desktop source.

hope that was marginally helpful!

oh wait, do you not have a mac? photobooth is a mac program for taking pictures and videos with the built in webcam...umm i guess youjust skip over the photobooth stage and simply upload it onto blogger? easy peasy.

Very cute skirt! I would never be able to transform something like that. But yea, I agree with shortening it and you could even make it a little puff skirt!

I like it! The colors are super pretty, but I think it would look better a little shorter. I looove sewing machines<3

I like your new skirt! I agree that it could be made shorter, but I also like it at this length!

love the colors and print! it's so summery! if i were you, i would just drag it up about three inches so it's a high waisted skirt, rather than shortening it. i'll pretty much only wear skirts if they're high waisted, though, so maybe that's just me :)

hemming it shorter might be a good idea. it'd look hella cute with any plain top--like the black one you have here. a nice summer mini. i wish i could sew.

I think the print is really nice--very summer-y. I'd just pull it up so it's a tad more high-waisted. Then it would be the right length and maybe a bit more flattering.

That is genius! I wish I was crafty like you. What a great solution for that piece!

I love how spring-like, and summery the skirt is. I think it would be so cute as a bubble skirt, but I know that would be hard to make! So just make it a little shorter and then you can send it to me ;) haha! just kidding! but really, you are too cute and kind girl oxoxo

love always !!
hope to hear from you :)

i reckon if you have the top part left, you could use that too... like a long top with a big waist belt, with some skinny jeans..?
