She calls it the "Puff Skirt". I've been looking around for a high waist skirt with the right amount of "puff". So, when I found this D.I.Y. for a skirt, I was super happy, because you can control how poofy you want it to be. I'm super excited to getting around to actually making it.

I think I'm becoming addicted to finding quirky things. I really want to go to the Goodwill Store again. I don't know how much longer my mom will tolerate my constant want for her to driver me around the city though.... Haha. :D

Inspiration

I really like the neckline on this dress. I think of it as a babydoll neckline. But, then again I could be wrong, considering my limited fashion terms vocabulary.

I like this one just because of the florals. I want to get some more florals in my wardrobe.

I think a t-shirt dress would look super cute with some leggings. I just might have to go buy some.

I found a not-so-bad blazer. It's expensive though... I think. I couldn't really tell what the price was.

Slacker I am

I haven't posted anything in a while because I haven't felt I've worn anything blog-worthy. I mean, I seriously have a limited amount of pieces I can put together to make an outfit that looks what I consider fashionable. I was supposed to go to the mall today, but I decided to be responsible and get started on an Evolution Project in Biology that's due this Friday. Then it's SPRING BREAK!! Hopefully I'll get to get some shopping done over the break. I did get a cardigan for four bucks last Thursday at the Salvation Army store. I was gonna go get a bunch of other stuff, but my mom had to be somewhere and I had to leave RIGHT THEN, so, I hastily grabbed the cardigan. I kinda wished I had grabbed one of the collared mens shirts I had tried on. I love shopping at goodwill stores though, because I can buy stuff I wouldn't buy because it's so cheap. I have to cut this post short, my mom likes to limit my computer hours. :/I'll try to post some fashion worthy blogs soon, I can't make any promises though.

I almost got my mom to take me to the goodwill store today, then she said she wasn't in the mood. I still have some time though, I might get her to crack. Or get my dad to take me. Anyways, I'm going away this weekend to a camp. I'll be back Sunday. Probably wont do a post. We'll see.

Florals, florals, florals.

Going into stores is so discouraging for me most of the time. I went to a consignment store today "Twice as Nice" but it was a woman's store, and most of the stuff there had shoulder pads in it and was more costly than I would have liked it to be. But still, some other fashion blogger probably could've gone in and found at least one thing. But I'm not like that yet. I really want to go to a vintage store, butttt, I don't know where the heck one is in my area!! I guess I'll try Goodwill. I really want to find a blazer. And a floral high-waisted skirt. And a cute, flowy floral dress.






I guess you could say I'm a little shopping challenged. Once I get in a store, I can get overwhelmed. I really want to start doing online shopping. We'll have to see, I guess.

And look at what you've done

So, my internet was down yesterday. But my dad fixed it today. Anyways, Yesterday was one of those 'do-nothing days' at school. So, I swiped up some index cards and drew out some outfits I want to wear once I find the pieces to make them.


So, I really want to get a high waisted skirt. I haven't gotten the guts to get one yet, because I'm kinda shy when it comes to dressing outside of my day to day clothing. And the shirt doesn't have to be like the one in the picture, I just want the shirt to be girly and flowy. And the boots, I don't know the name for the style they are(I still have a limited fashion vocabulary). But in this overall outfit, I was going for a girly look.


I saw this type of outfit on a girl, and thought it looked sooo cute. It's basically a vest with a flower print on it, then a belt around your waist, put a white undershirt underneath, put a pair of jeans and moccasins on and, vwa la, the outfit is made.



This look was based around the jeans. I guess you couls call them acid wash, but from what I've seen, you make them with bleach. Anyways, this is the "tough look". There's a leather jacket up top with a basic white tee underneath, and then boots on the bottom. Hopefully I'll be able to get a pair of Dr. Martens off of ebay soon.

None of my family has vintage clothes. And my mom has average, mom clothes. My great grandma said she might have clothes from when she was a teen, but I barely see her. She said in her teen days, she wore spectator shoes and high waisted plaid skirts. I was drooling at the mouth. I'm really hoping she'll actually try to look for them. I'm still trying to get out to vintage, consignment, or goodwill store. My mom doesn't seem to be in the mood though. The only thing I've bought that was used a multi colored cardigan from the salvation army. And boys think it makes me look like a grandma. But, I learned to block them out. Also, I only know of maybe, two consignment stores in my area. But, then again, I haven't really been looking for any.

It started out as an idea

Ah, geeze. I'm finally starting a blog. Anyways, I've been looking at fashion blogs a lot lately, I don't remember what sparked this obsession. But, they're just so much fun to look at. And I feel like I'm starting to have an interest in fashion too. It may be small right now, but who knows where it could go. I don't have many fashionable things, I consider the way I dress to be a little above the plain -Jane, but not by much. I have a hard time finding stuff I like on my budget. I've been checking out ebay lately for some cheap steals, though. I also want to venture over to the salvation army, and some consignment shops in my area. But, my mom doesn't really like driving me around.
